We’re continuing our winning streak! It’s a Silver for us in our second attempt at the prestigious Malaysia Effie Awards 2024! With our Rugi Tau?! campaign for McDonald’s Malaysia, we are incredibly proud to have our efforts recognised in the Youth Marketing and Services category.
The “Rugi Tau?!” campaign aimed to increase McD App downloads and engagement among younger audiences through a lighthearted drama series. The plot revolved around two guys competing for a girl, with the McD App user emerging as the winner, reinforcing the message of not missing out on what the McD App has to offer. The campaign featured six episodes, a teaser, and influencer support, accumulating over 14 million video views and significantly boosting app usage. The campaign cleverly capitalised on the “fear of missing out” mentality, blending humour, romance, and social media to achieve strong results
Competing with some of the industry’s most outstanding agencies made this victory all the more meaningful. We’re inspired by the exceptional talent and innovation showcased this year and are truly honoured to be recognised alongside such marketing excellence.
