As part of IDOTYOU’s continuous effort to enhance employee well-being and work life balance, we implemented a two-day work-from-home (WFH) policy starting January 2025, following the success of our Friday WFH in 2024. Employees now have the flexibility to work remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays under the philosophy of “Travel Less for More” due to the daily pain of enduring traffic jams every day.

To evaluate the effectiveness of this initiative, we conducted a survey among our team to gather their insights on work-life balance, productivity and potential areas for improvement.

Quality of Life Improvement and Productivity Levels

A key finding from our survey is that 77.8% of employees agree that their quality of life has improved since the implementation of the WFH policy. This underscores the positive impact of remote work on overall well-being, allowing employees to better manage their personal and professional commitments.

In terms of productivity levels, responses were mixed. This suggests that while WFH has benefited many, some employees feel their productivity remains unchanged or slightly hindered.

Advantages of Working From Home

Since the implementation of the two-day WFH policy, employees have experienced various benefits that contribute to both their professional efficiency and personal well-being.

These findings highlight that eliminating commute time and offering flexibility are significant advantages of WFH.

Challenges Faced While Working From Home

While WFH has benefits, it also presents challenges which our employees have highlighted:

Conclusion

Overall, our survey results show that the two-day WFH policy has been well-received, particularly in improving employees’ quality of life and eliminating commute-related stress. While productivity perceptions vary, a significant portion of employees report improved efficiency. However, challenges in communication and workflow disruptions highlight areas for refinement. Moving forward, IDOTYOU will explore ways to optimize remote work dynamics while maintaining effective collaboration and productivity.

As we continue to adapt and refine our work policies, IDOTYOU remains committed to fostering a balanced and productive work environment that supports both individual well-being and team efficiency.
